I am extremely shy and have never done anything quite like this before, but I am entering into a Vintage Glamour Pageant, in the hopes of gaining self confidence and to have some fun!! I may not be the prettiest girl to enter or the most confident but I am an extreme vintage/antique collector,…
Oh gosh seriously. My friend has been hit multiple times by drunk drivers. In the middle of the day. It’s ridiculous. I want to say she’s lucky she’s alive, but then getting hit at all doesn’t sound very lucky. I’m glad your cousin is okay!
Thank you. The worst part is that it was a four-car accident, including the drunk guy, and the drunk guy actually fled the scene. Apparently police and dogs are out searching for him now. My cousin’s car, which is only a couple of months old, is completely totalled.
despite the fact that the vast majority of the events in my life have already been worked out, i really have no idea how to pass time or engage myself in most things until those aforementioned events have come to pass. lovely!
hey guys i know this is asking a lot of you but it’s something that’s pretty important to me and i’m almost positive none of you will do this but idk i would reeeeaally appreciate it if you even just took the time to look at this
hello, im a high school student interested in the anthropology program at uofm. what do you like and not like about the dept?
Hey! I wrote a lot a while ago for someone else here!
Probably the one thing I dislike about the anthro department is that they seriously stick to their prereqs. Usually you can email a professor and state your case, and explain why you think you should be allowed into a class even if you don’t quiiiiite meet the requirements. I just tried to get into an awesome-sounding Anthro of the Body class, and the professor was incredibly rude and brushed me off because I’m not “really” a 3rd-year student despite the fact that I have the credit standing for it. They really make you go through all the hoops to get into classes, which can make it incredibly difficult to schedule.
If you’d like to come off of anon, I have a few friends in the anthro department who I’m sure could give you more information! I’m a Classics major, Classical Archaeology, so I’m not officially with the anthro department.
I heard they give you some pretty cool swag when you sign up as an Anthro major. They also have an incredibly thorough program in all four major areas of anthropology itself, and there are some fantastic opportunities within the department, including the dig at Gabii (if you’re interested in bones!).
You can also always email the anthropology department and someone will get back to you rather soon! Hope I helped.
